After a very long journey, from Rio, Brazil to Houston to Washington DC, I have finally arrived in Vienna. Perola and our friend, a talented video artist Zel Nonnenberg are already here and we are meeting up to lay the groundwork for our next portals project, The Aces of Perception.

This project is a remix, an evolution of The 13 Portals, an interactive street art project that Perola and I brought to the streets of the East Village, NYC last summer.

The Aces of Perception will launch on the streets of Vienna on Sept 13th. 

While we’re here, Perola and I will begin painting the first piece (of 5). We will meet with our sound designer, projectionist, and a tech team from ARS Electronica, the museum of technology in Linz, Austria to brainstorm ideas for the final installation and destination of the Aces game. We also plan to visit the school of visionary art here and if I’m lucky we’ll have some time to explore the underground tunnels of Vienna.

I’ll be here for two weeks and then will travel to Alaska to join my mother in her sled for the ceremonial start of the Iditarod.

It’s bound to be an interesting month!
